Nistar is a small kennel breeding occasionally to improve the quality of my dogs. I have been involved in the world of dog shows since 1976, when I started going with my mother when she got back into showing German Shepherds. I really enjoyed it, & obtained my first Golden in 1979. My foundation Bitch, Miaura Topflight arrived in 1981, but unfortunately ruptured her cruciate ligament at an early age, & couldn't be shown any longer. She became my first brood bitch, & produced many title holders in show, obedience & trialling. She had her first litter in 1983. Uralla is situated on the Northern Tablelands of NSW, approximately half way between Sydney & Brisbane on the New England Highway. It is a picturesque town, & has much historical signifigance. It is also close to the City of Armidale.

In 1985, I imported my foundation sire, Rueberry Figero, from England. He became the sire of many title holders in conformation & obedience. He is still behind my lines today. "Boris" was followed later in the year by his litter sister, Rueberry Fantacy Of Laytoncroft, who whelped a litter in quarantine. After coming home & recovering from her litter, "Jenny" went on to quickly gain her Australian Championship. In 2006, I introduced some American bloodlines into the kennel, & hope to combine the best of Aust, Eng & Am lines. I bred my first nearly all American litter in August, 2007.
